The City of San Francisco too, decided to publish several Datasets. DataSF is a central clearinghouse for datasets published by the City & County of San Francisco. The site allows to find datasets in several ways: general search, tags/keywords, categories, and rating. The goal is to improve access to city data through open machine-readable formats.
Anyway, there does not seem to be any SPARQL endpoint or any other semantic expression of the exposed datasets... Maybe in a future iteration?

dbrec is a new kind of recommender system, entirely based on Semantic Web and Linked Data technologies, providing recommendations for 39,000 artists from DBpedia (and consequently from Wikipedia) based on the relationships that they hold together, either directly (e.g. having played together) or indirectly (e.g. playing the same genre, sharing a common record label or even being associated in a particular cultural movement).
The W3C published 2 days ago the OWL2 Recommendation, made by 12 documents. A great step further in SW technologies, 5 years after the first OWL Recommendation !

Provided with free-form text, the service identifies places mentioned in text, disambiguates those places, and returns unique identifiers (WOEIDs) for each, as well as information about how many times the place was found in the text, and where in the text it was found. Gorgeous!
Zemanta is a text enrichment tool. Packaged as a firefox extension, it helps adding tags, photos, links to the texts you type in your web browser. It is based on "natural language processing, machine learning and fine tuning", and would take profit out of SemWeb technologies.
The problem with both keywords and tags is that they are just words. But what would happen if, instead of words, we used objects? What if we used unique concepts that would always and everywhere have the same name and would refer to the specific object?

The Resource Description Framework RDF allows the users to describe Web documents and resources from the real world—people, organisations, things—in a computer-processable way. This document presents guidelines for their effective use. It discusses two strategies, called 303 URIs and hash URIs. It gives pointers to several Web sites that use these solutions, and briefly discusses why several other proposals have problems.
The purpose of this post is to highlight 10 Semantic Apps. We're not touting this as a 'Top 10', because there is no way to rank these apps at this point - many are still non-public apps, e.g. in private beta. Mais voilà que pour contrer cette épidémie pernicieuse, on vient d’associer le Web sémantique à la version 3.0 du Web. Voir article sur Wikipedia. Bonne idée? Pas sûr. Le simple fait de donner des numéros de version au terme Web implique une amélioration commerciale et non une évolution de la technologie. Les gens achètent les nouvelles versions… dans le cas du Web, ils doivent d’abord les faire! Si on veut être précis, il faudrait dire Web-2 v. 0.1a.
Du gigantesque catalogue qu'il est, le web pourrait se transformer pour apporter des réponses complètes à des requêtes en langage naturel, et favoriser l’émergence de nouvelles formes d'intelligence collective. Certains l'appellent le "web 3.0".

In this paper, we present our work aimed at improving retrieval and navigation services on bibliographic data. In this system, knowledge about the domain of documents (publications) is stored in an ontology, a formal model of conceptual knowledge. PingtheSemanticWeb.com is a web service archiving the location of recently created/updated FOAF, DOAP or SIOC RDF documents on the Web. If one of those documents is updated, its author can notify the service that the document have been updated by pinging it with the URL of the document.
